“For every action there’s a reaction”
From the moment we rise in the morning, to the moment we retire for rest in the evening, and every moment in-between. It’s my job to understand your history and all the causative factors of your day to day activities in order formulate an effective treatment plan. It’s my philosophy that this holistic approach of establishing short term and longstanding goals coupled with a strategic and realistic course for recovery provides my guests with an effective health care and maintenance program.
While my experience as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) spans many years it’s my belief that each new day is an opportunity to learn and grow with those who choose to share in the journey ahead.
Areas of Practice
From the beginning of his career Jeremy has had a strong affinity to work in the wellness environment which has strengthened his intuition to treat the body as a whole and recognize the importance of a holistic approach to a recovery program.
Swedish techniques are fundamental for restoring circulation to our soft-tissue. While Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) re-establishes neurological function and realigns fascia and muscle fibres. When used in conjunction these techniques provide an effective therapeutic approach to treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions resulting from motor vehicle accidents (MVA), chronic occupational posture and sports and recreational injury. Jeremy skilfully integrates all of these modalities to successfully treat a myriad of conditions including: headaches and migraines, muscles spasms, sprains and strains, sciatica, stress, chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia, tendonitis and many more.
Therapeutic Background
In Vernon BC, at Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy (OVCMT), Jeremy completed the three year, 3000 hour program in 2002. Continuing his work in the southern interior of the province for the next seven years he worked at a Wellness Spa and also in conjunction with a seasonal position treating athletes at a heli-ski resort. These distinct venues gave him a diverse spectrum of practice working with acute and chronic conditions as well as honing his skills in sports massage and rehabilitation therapy.
In the past few years Jeremy has been developing his practice in North Vancouver. During this time the North Shore Wellness Centre has been an integral part of his personal healthcare program and now it’s with a deep sense of honour and purpose that he’s joined the team.
Personal History
Shortly after his birth in Langenthal, Switzerland, Jeremy and his family returned to rekindle their roots in the Ottawa Valley area of Ontario. Then at the onset of his high school years, once again, the family packed up and restabilised themselves in BC’s capital, Victoria. Of course while British Columbia is now home, it’s this strong convergence of European roots coupled with BC values which has given him a genuine respect for the environment and a natural inclination to place the health and wellbeing of others as paramount.
