Anna’s treatment philosophy combines hands-on manual therapy, acupuncture, and individualized exercise programs. She seeks to address faulty biomechanics and movement patterns and to rebalance muscles and fascia to ease any joint discomfort, while decreasing the risk of re-injury.
Before becoming a physiotherapist, Anna first earned her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University. She worked as a kinesiologist in Vancouver, helping people with a wide array of injuries from acute post traumatic accidents to those with the chronic effects from acquired brain injuries. This motivated her to pursue physiotherapy as a career. Anna then completed her Masters of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia. She continues her education in the areas of acupuncture, manual therapy, mobilization with movement, and fascial release.
Areas of Practice
With experience treating skiing, climbing, dancing and many other sport and life-related injuries while working in Revelstoke, North Vancouver and Whistler, Anna has been successfully helping people return to work, life and sport pain free with the knowledge that they are less at risk of re-injuring themselves.
Anna grew up in the mountains in various small towns in the interior of British Columbia and is excited to continue her career in the active communities of the North Shore. She is an avid skier and hiker and can often be found playing in the mountains when not at work. Anna and her husband recently returned from a year of travelling the world together, and now, having circumnavigated the globe, she is excited to be working at the North Shore Wellness Centre.
